Fluency in knowledge & movement
Fascia Fluency is an evidence-based, trauma informed approach to massage therapy, that works with the body’s intelligence.
Working smarter- not harder with-in the dynamic connection between the fascia and nervous system.
Understanding the fascial system (Both superficial & deep tissues) and the biological mechanisms behind its restrictions, allows Massage Therapists to become adept at quickly identifying and addressing tension in the body. This knowledge helps therapists anticipate areas of restriction, restore ease of movement, improve tissue functionality, reduce pain, and enhance overall movement.
Essentially, it's about being able to "speak" the body's language of tension fluently, leading to more effective treatments for clients.
By a Massage Therapist FOR Massage Therapists.
Massage therapy has evolved beyond pampering and stress management; it is now widely used for medical and therapeutic purposes, with increasing referrals from doctors. Fascia Fluency was developed to cater to a diverse range of clients, including those who can't handle or don't want "Deep Tissue" massage. This approach provides research-based techniques to ensure that therapists can effectively treat all clients, maximizing their time on the table.

Trauma Informed Massage

Bridging the gap between trauma informed care and therapeutic massage therapy
Knowledge is power
-
Stress/Trauma
Clients often seek massage therapy to alleviate stress, but with the increasing number of clients looking for pain relief, therapists must understand how trauma manifests and shows up in the massage room. Over time old injuries can lead to chronic pain for many people.
-
Adaptation
Our body naturally adapts and heals despite injuries, repetitive strains, stress, and overall health. While it knows how to tighten in response to these challenges, it doesn't know how to release these restrictions. Understanding the mechanisms of tension under our hands can help us better assist our clients.
-
Re-Integration
Understanding adaptations allows us to strategically assist clients by restoring scared tissue and restrictions into functional tissue. This helps reintegrate the tissue back into the neural network of the fascial system, which thereby helps the body’s function of homeostasis.
